Mrs Salisbury’s Famous Tea Rooms is a very busy, family run and independent group of tea rooms/cafés in Essex, this position is at our Coggeshall site. We offer breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and the occasional pop up event.

We are after a kitchen assistant to join our kitchen team. Below are the key job highlights:

  • Salary plus tips (£2-£3 extra per hour)
  • Daytime shifts with the occasional evening for pop up events
  • Working Days: 3 days per week including 1 or 2 weekend days
  • Paid trial shift to see if you like us
  • Paid lunch breaks with food
  • Very busy (you won’t be bored!)

We’ve got an exciting position for a Kitchen Assistant/Chef to be a crucial member in our restaurant based in Coggeshall. Featuring day time hours with just one or two evenings a month, you will be working alongside the team to help prepare breakfast and lunch dishes and preparing food for the day ahead.

We get very busy (especially over lunch time) so we’re looking for a candidate who isn’t too flustered in a busy kitchen and can deliver great quality food. You’ll have a full team of talented chefs around you and a fully functional kitchen to aid you, with the freedom to experiment with specials and have an input in the menu dishes.

We’re keen to offer training and courses where necessary, and there is potential for role growth as the business evolves. You’ll be a part of our tip scheme (known as Tronc) which is shared equally between all staff, currently averaging between £2-£3 per hour. You would also have the opportunity to claim open shifts should you want some more hours.

What we would require from you:

  • One year of kitchen experience
  • Weekend availability
  • Some degree of flexibility to cover holidays
  • A great level of cleanliness and hygiene
