About Us

Mrs Salisbury’s is an independent hospitality business known for exceptional food, great coffee, and genuine customer service. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our leadership team on a full-time contract. This is a multi-site role, with locations in Maldon, Wickham Bishops & Coggeshall. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day operation of our locations and working closely with our senior management team to ensure consistently high standards across the business.

The Role

You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure high operational standards, exceptional customer service, and a positive team culture. This is a full-time position based on a 40-hour week, including weekends and evening shifts in line with our new dinner and Sunday lunch services. This position is available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations
  • Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service
  • Supervise and motivate front-of-house team members
  • Assist with staff training, onboarding, and development
  • Manage shifts, rotas, and staffing levels
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are maintained
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock control
  • Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve issues efficiently
  • Support in achieving sales targets and managing labour costs

Working days: 40 hours per week over 5 days, including some evenings. We always try to schedule 1 weekend day off each week.
