I am a 61-year-old lady with a young attitude to life. My disability is Cerebral Palsy, which affects the use of my arms and legs. To enable me to live independently in my own home, I receive Direct Payment so that I can employ my Personal Assistant (PA) to provide 24/7 care and support.
I have lived independently for the last 30 years and have always had a good rapport with my PAs. Most of my PAs have worked for me for most of that time, and now I am looking for a new PA to join my team.
I am active-minded and like to live the best I can. I enjoy socialising and making the most of things. I do not let my disability get in my way, especially with the help of my PAs. The role involves helping me with all personal care, as I like to take pride in myself. If the new PA can assist with my hair and make-up, that would be beneficial. It also includes all aspects of daily living, such as cooking, cleaning, and anything concerning the household.
I enjoy social events, going to the cinema, theatre, concerts, shopping, and generally going out and about. The new PA will be providing all aspects of personal care. Due to this, I am looking for a female assistant, in accordance with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and the Equality Act 2010. My hair, make-up, and presentation are very important to me, and I lead an individual and independent lifestyle.
The hours include weekends, weekdays, and overnight stays. I am looking for a new PA who has empathy and is supportive. A non-smoker is preferred, as I do not smoke.
If you think this new PA could be you and feel that you would enjoy working with me, please do not hesitate to contact me for more information.
