We are an award-winning web development and marketing agency looking for a Web Designer to join our team for a full year, covering maternity leave. We are a growing team of around 40 talented people, working with a fantastic portfolio of ambitious clients across a range of sectors. Our team combines creativity, technical expertise and performance marketing to deliver work that genuinely moves the needle. Responsibilities for the Web Designer:

  • Design bespoke websites to be built mainly in WordPress.
  • Produce exciting design flats aligned with the brief.
  • Produce design wireframes and mock-ups with UI/UX considerations.
  • Design infographic, whitepaper, illustrations, social media posts.
  • Design assets and branding elements for systems and websites.
  • Implement design and content changes in CMS, mainly by using Custom WordPress & Gutenberg editor.
  • Implement design and content changes in CMS, such as Webflow and Unbounce.
  • Design and edit live landing pages.
  • Collaborate with developers on website builds.
  • Design creative content for client marketing campaigns and advertising activities – PPC collaboration.
  • Design updates for existing web projects.
  • Implement client requests.
  • Give estimations of time required for a design project (internally).
  • Share, challenge and develop best practices.
  • Work with the Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop & Illustrator.
  • Work on HTML & CSS and some JS.
  • Use Bootstrap library to design and build flat websites.
  • Understand typography and legibility best practice.
  • Be involved in client meetings and internal meetings.

Job Overview for the Web Designer:

From designing creative websites to working with developers to bring wireframes to life. Working closely with the marketing and content team to get the most success out of a website build. Design and code websites. Analysing the client needs and come up with ideas for eye-catching web pages that will appeal to visitors. From wireframes, design the front-end pages and help with the building process. Design logos, business cards, illustrations, graphics, prints, brochures, flyers, banners. Design illustrations and when possible make bespoke illustrations from scratch. Use Adobe Suite, most particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD. Work with Digital and SEO to make sure the designs are optimised for page speed, conversions and social sharing as well as being good for Search Engines. Work with code on both bespoke platforms and WordPress 6, 5 and 4 and intern HTML5, CSS3, PHP, as well as front end frameworks & libraries such as Bootstrap.
