MRR Infrastructure is currently recruiting for a SPEN Authorised Standby Person to support works at Dunhill Substation, located near Dalmellington/Carsphairn, on the Ayrshire and Dumfries & Galloway border.

This is an urgent requirement for an initial 2-week contract, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced and currently authorised professional who is available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the designated SPEN Authorised Standby Person throughout the duration of the works.
  • Ensure all personnel comply with SPEN safety procedures and site requirements.
  • Monitor work activities and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Liaise with the site team to support the safe execution of planned works.
  • Follow all relevant health, safety, and operational procedures while working on the substation.

Essential Requirements

  • Current SPEN Authorised Standby Person authorisation (essential).
  • Previous experience working on SPEN substations or other high-voltage power infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of SPEN safety rules and procedures.

  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to the site.
