A global organisation are seeking a Palo Alto Firewall Engineer with hands-on experience in Firewall administration, rule creation, and remediation activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls and a solid understanding of network security concepts, security policies, and remediation processes. This will be a 3-6 months contract which can be worked 100% remotely from any location across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, modify, and manage Firewall security rules on enterprise Firewalls.
  • Perform Firewall remediation activities including: Security rule remediation, Security profile remediation and Object remediation.
  • Proven experience configuring with Panorama.
  • Analyse and optimise Firewall configurations to align with security best practices.
  • Support day-to-day Firewall operations, troubleshooting, and policy management.
  • Work with network and security teams to understand traffic flow and implement secure access controls.
  • Ensure Firewall policies comply with organisational security standards and governance requirements.
  • Experience with Trust & Untrust SSL.
  • Experience with Templates & Template Stacks.
  • Assist in basic security remediation and operational security tasks.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience working with Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Strong experience in Firewall remediation activities, including: Security Rules, Security Profiles and Objects remediation.
  • Good understanding of network architecture and network traffic flow.
  • Experience in implementing and managing Firewall policies and access controls.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Firewall and connectivity-related issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Palo Alto NGFW or PCNSE certification preferred.
