A global organisation are looking for an experienced Netcool Solution Architect to lead the design, integration, and governance of our OSS service assurance landscape. This individual will bring deep Netcool expertise, strong cross-domain OSS knowledge, and hands-on delivery experience across global telecom environments. This will be a full-time, permanent position. The position can be worked on a hybrid basis, requiring you to attend the office 2 days per week in Newbury, UK.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Netcool Architecture & Delivery: Lead design, implementation, and optimization of Netcool components: OMNIbus, Impact, Agile Service Manager, NOI, Precision. Ensure robust, scalable, and proactive fault and performance management solutions across the network.
  • Cross-Domain OSS Integration: Drive seamless integration of Netcool with OSS domains such as Service Fulfilment, Inventory, Customer Experience Management, and NMS/EMS systems. Architect end-to-end service assurance solutions that align with modern OSS architecture.
  • Industry Best Practices & Standards: Bring in global exposure and telco best practices to avoid reinventing existing patterns. Leverage proven reference architectures to accelerate OSS modernization.
  • Architecture Governance: Act as a neutral, senior architect aligning fragmented OSS stacks into a harmonized global architecture. Enforce architecture principles, standards, and governance across regional implementations.
  • Mentorship & Capability Building: Guide and mentor internal architects and designers to build in-house competency. Support a hybrid model of external expertise and internal capability development.
  • Risk Mitigation & Quality Assurance: Ensure the OSS solution is resilient, scalable, and free of integration gaps. Reduce risks associated with poor design, delayed issue resolution, and potential revenue leakage.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with the IBM Netcool suite: OMNIbus, Impact, Agile Service Manager, NOI, Precision
  • Deep understanding of the OSS domain, including: Service Fulfilment, Service Assurance, Automation, Network Management, COTS products
  • Proven experience integrating Netcool with: NMS/EMS systems, Service Inventory, CEM platforms, and ticketing systems
  • Strong knowledge of automation platforms like: PEGA, Blue Prism, Resolve, UI Path
  • Solid grasp of cloud-native OSS architecture and Telco Cloud environments
  • Experience working in large-scale OSS transformation programs for Tier-1 telcos
  • Excellent problem-solving, architectural governance, and documentation skills
