Location: Hybrid in London (1-2 days a week in the office)

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to lead a large-scale network transformation and migration project for a global retail organization. Working through a leading global consultancy, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing network infrastructure across a complex enterprise environment.

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of experience in enterprise and service provider networking environments
  • Strong experience with routing, switching, WAN, LAN, and network security technologies
  • Solid understanding of core networking protocols including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, IPsec, QoS, and TCP/IP
  • Experience designing, implementing, and supporting large-scale network infrastructures
  • Knowledge of software‑defined networking technologies, network virtualization, and cloud networking concepts
  • Experience integrating enterprise networks with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Strong troubleshooting, incident management, and root cause analysis skills in complex production environments
  • Familiarity with network monitoring, automation, and performance optimization tools
  • Experience supporting network migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure transformation projects
  • Understanding of security best practices including segmentation, VPNs, firewalls, and secure connectivity
  • Ability to create operational documentation, runbooks, and technical procedures
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work directly with customers and cross‑functional teams
