MRP Group has partnered with a leading global IT consultancy that are working with a client rolling out an Edge Hosting service across their factories globally, and they need a senior network architect to design how it connects securely into factory IT and OT environments.
6-12 months Contract, with potential extension.
Liverpool, hybrid - 2 days onsite.
The role:
- Own edge connectivity design across factory LAN/WAN, routing, firewalls, DNS/DHCP/NTP, management networks and secure remote access
- Create standard site integration blueprints and manage architecture exceptions
- Set resilience requirements for network paths, switching and uplinks
- Align the design with zero-trust principles and IT/OT security requirements
- Build network readiness and assurance checklists for factory deployment and migration
What they're looking for:
- Strong LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, firewall and segmentation knowledge
- Experience designing secure connectivity for virtualised, containerised and edge platforms
- Ability to produce reusable network standards, HLD/LLD guidance and site-readiness criteria
- Strong stakeholder engagement across architecture, security, operations and site teams
Nice to have: manufacturing IT/OT architecture, IEC 62443 and NIST guidance, Azure Local, Dell, NativeEdge or Kubernetes experience, ServiceNow/SIAM integration.
