My client is seeking an experienced Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide deep technical leadership for the design, implementation, operation, and governance of Kubernetes platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate enterprise‑grade Kubernetes clusters (on‑prem, cloud, or hybrid)
• Define and maintain Kubernetes architecture standards, patterns, and best practices
• Provide expert guidance on cluster sizing, scalability, and high availability
• Act as the authoritative Kubernetes SME for engineering, operations, and security teams
• Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes and container‑related issues (networking, storage, scheduling, performance)
• Define and enforce security controls (RBAC, network policies, pod security, secrets management)
• Drive Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Helm, Kustomize
• Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for containerised workloads
• Define standards for monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)

Required Skills & Experience

• Deep, hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes in production environments
• Networking (CNI), storage (CSI), and scheduling
• Experience with container runtimes (Docker, containerd)
• Cloud platforms (AWS EKS, Azure AKS, GKE) and/or

Qualifications & Certifications

• CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist)

This position will require eDV (enhanced Developed Vetting) clearance.
