You will be responsible for defining, creating, and managing the enterprise data model that underpins the service. The Data Architect/Analyst initiates, analyses, documents, and maintains data structures and standards to ensure data consistency, accessibility, and alignment with business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead high-level and conceptual data modelling, collaborating with business analysts to understand business processes, data requirements, and where datasets reside.
- Analyse and advise on data federation versus data integration approaches, ensuring optimal solutions for performance, governance, and scalability.
- Define and document data integration requirements, including data flows, interfaces, subscriptions, and dependencies to support business and service use cases.
- Establish and maintain data access methodologies, including data discovery, analysis, and consumption patterns.
- Ensure alignment with Configuration Management practices, maintaining data-related configuration items (CIs) and their relationships.
- Apply ITIL principles, with a strong focus on Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM), to ensure accurate tracking, control, and governance of data assets across their lifecycle.
- Support ongoing data quality, consistency, and compliance through clear documentation and governance standards.
