MDM Architect – Data, SCD, Cloud, Riversand, Informatica MDM – Full Time, Hybrid, Leeds, UK

A large global organisation are looking for a MDM Architect to design scalable MDM solutions for Product data and Customer, Supplier, Location, Employee etc ensuring alignment with business needs and data governance standards.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

The role will be worked on a Hybrid basis, 3 days on site in Leeds.

Key Responsibilities/Skills

• Lead the data modelling efforts for Product entities including Item, Variant, Product Hierarchy, Pricing, Attributes, and Relationships.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data standards, taxonomies, and hierarchies for product data.
• Integrate PIM systems with MDM platforms and downstream applications (e.g., ERP, CRM, data platform).
• Define and implement data quality rules, match & merge logic, and survivorship strategies.
• Drive SCD (Slowly Changing Dimensions) strategies where applicable, especially for product lifecycle management.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data stewardship, workflow orchestration, and data governance are embedded in MDM processes.
• Lead initiatives to improve data quality, including profiling, cleansing, monitoring, and remediation strategies.
• Provide architectural guidance on MDM platform selection, cloud vs. on-prem deployment, and integration patterns (API, ETL, messaging).
• Support metadata management, lineage tracking, and compliance initiatives.
• Hands‑on experience with more than one MDM technology/platform (e.g., Riversand, Informatica MDM, Semarchy, TIBCO EBX, Reltio).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in multi‑domain MDM (Customer, Supplier, Location, etc.) is a strong plus.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data Lakehouse architectures.
