Java Developer required for a long-term engagement with competitive rates, supporting and enhancing internal Administration applications. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in the West Midlands, involving live service support, batch processing, testing, and controlled application changes within a complex enterprise environment.
Active SC Clearance preferred; candidates with all essential skills and experience will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and support enterprise Java applications
- Provide live service and incident support
- Write and maintain Oracle SQL queries
- Support batch processing and operational activities
- Manage code and releases using GitLab
- Support containerised applications using Kubernetes
- Work with WebLogic application servers
- Perform manual end-to-end testing
- Support application changes and continuous improvement
Skills & Experience
- SC Clearance preferred
- Strong Java development and support experience
- Experience with GitLab and controlled release processes
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Hands-on WebLogic experience
- Experience supporting live production environments
- Shell scripting experience
- Maven and Linux experience
- Manual testing and documentation experience
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
