Data Architect to join a leading UK brand on their Legacy to SAS programme.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and design of SAS solutions across legacy SAS and SAS Viya environments.
- Provide technical governance and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Define integration patterns between SAS platforms and enterprise data warehouses.
- Advise on SAS modernisation, migration, and coexistence strategies.
- Act as the technical authority for SAS-related decisions and risk management.
- Collaborate with engineering, platform, and vendor teams to deliver secure, scalable, high-quality solutions.
Key Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience as a SAS Architect or Senior Technical Lead.
- Strong knowledge of Legacy SAS (Base SAS, SAS Grid, SAS 9.x) and SAS Viya.
- Proven experience integrating SAS with enterprise data platforms and data warehouses.
- Experience delivering solutions within large-scale or regulated environments.
- Exposure to cloud platforms, data lake/lakehouse architectures, and multi-supplier delivery models.
Open to candidates across the UK who can travel to Telford 40% of the time β the ideal candidate would be located in: Telford, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Coventry & other neighbouring cities/towns.
