A leading specialist in advanced technology solutions is seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer to join their embedded division. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly technical sales environment, representing a portfolio of cutting-edge embedded computing solutions to customers across the UK.
About The Role
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will work closely with a broad range of industrial and technology-focused customers. You will provide pre-sales technical consultation, identify and develop new business opportunities, and nurture existing accounts. Your expertise in embedded systems and your customer-first mindset will be central to delivering tailored solutions and driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of customers
- Identify customer needs and propose suitable embedded technology solutions
- Provide technical product demonstrations, proposals, and project support
- Collaborate with internal engineering and product teams to develop tailored offerings
- Attend customer visits, trade shows, and technical events as required
- Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting via CRM systems
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven background in technical sales or field applications within the embedded computing or electronics industry
- Sound knowledge of embedded hardware or software (e.g., SBCs, modules, microcontrollers, RTOS, SoCs)
- Strong commercial awareness and customer engagement skills
- Self-motivated, with excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Full UK driving licence
- Engineering or electronics-related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) desirable
