Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, our prestigious UK-wide client is seeking a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join them on a permanent basis, based on site 5 days per week. Please only apply if you are able to be office based in Hemel Hempstead 5 days a week as this is a non-negotiable.
This job would suit someone with at least 3 years\’ experience in a purchase ledger role and looking for that next step to progress into a senior. You will be responsible for your own set of accounts whilst also supporting the accounts team with meeting strict deadlines and general administrative support.

The successful individual will be an experienced purchase ledger clerk with excellent organisational skills, confident in their abilities, pro active and a real urge to progress and develop. Knowledge of MS Office programs, excel, Word and Outlook, is a must for this role.
Job responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain supplier accounts
- Process, verify, and pay supplier invoices
- Resolve invoice queries and negotiate credits
- Communicate with suppliers and internal departments
- Reconcile supplier statements with account records
- Prepare BACS payments to meet deadlines
- Provide cover for the Purchase Ledger Manager when required
- Support with open purchase orders and account holds
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes
- Contribute to a collaborative and efficient team environment
