Contract Performance Tester – Desktop-to-Cloud Migration
We’re working with a leading software provider that has established itself as a name to watch through the delivery of award-winning solutions for customers across the UK and Ireland. Their products streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and support practices in delivering exceptional client service.
They’re currently undertaking a major migration from desktop to cloud, which will significantly increase traffic on their cloud platform. To ensure a smooth transition, they’re looking for a contract Performance Tester to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute performance and load testing on the cloud platform.
- Diagnose issues, uncover system bottlenecks, and help ensure a seamless user experience.
- Use realistic, live-like data to stress-test the system.
- Work with testing tools (the team prefers K6, but they’re flexible).
- Remote (UK-based applicants with no visa/sponsorship requirements).
- Focused on the end-of-April migration project, with potential for ongoing related work.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong experience in performance, load, and stress testing of web or cloud applications
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, or similar)
- Experience with API testing and backend performance evaluation (REST, GraphQL)
- Ability to analyse logs, metrics, and system performance data to identify bottlenecks
- Knowledge of databases and query optimisation for large datasets
