We’re looking for a Senior & Lead DBA to join a fast-paced, technology-driven organisation operating one of the UK’s most active transactional platforms. This is an opportunity to work within a highly available, data-intensive environment where uptime, performance, resilience, and scalability are business critical.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining and evolving enterprise database infrastructure, supporting mission-critical systems used by millions of customers across digital and retail channels.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing and optimising large-scale SQL Server environments
  • Leading database performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Supporting high availability and disaster recovery solutions
  • Driving automation, maintenance, and infrastructure improvements
  • Working closely with engineering, platform, and DevOps teams
  • Contributing to database architecture and cloud migration initiatives
  • Ensuring security, compliance, and operational best practice across environments

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong experience as a Senior DBA / Database Engineer
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server environments
  • Experience with HA/DR technologies including Always On Availability Groups
  • Strong performance tuning and optimisation skills
  • Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, T-SQL, etc.)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and hybrid infrastructure
  • Comfortable operating within large-scale, high-availability environments
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
