We’re exclusively supporting a high-growth consumer digital business looking for a Senior Product Designer | Design System to take full responsibility for their multi-surface design system, raising the bar for craft, consistency and speed across web and app experiences. You’ll sit at the intersection of design and engineering, improving component quality, refining motion and interaction, exploring AI-assisted tooling, and shaping how the system scales.
If you enjoy building foundations that other designers rely on, not just screens that ship once, this is that kind of role.
Key Responsibilities:- Own and evolve a large-scale, token-based design system used across multiple products
- Elevate visual quality, interaction standards and component consistency
- Partner closely with engineering to ensure scalable, robust implementation
- Improve handoff processes and reduce design debt
- Shape and prioritise the design system roadmap alongside engineering
- Drive adoption across product squads and champion system contribution
- Explore and implement AI tooling and automation to improve design workflows
- Track adoption, efficiency gains and system impact
This is hands-on. You will design, prototype, refine and not just advise.
Core skills needed:- Strong UI craft — layout, motion, accessibility and polish matter to you
- Deep fluency in Figma
- Confidence collaborating with engineers (React / TypeScript literacy helpful)
- Experience with token-based systems and multi-surface environments
- Curiosity around AI-assisted design tools and workflow optimisation
- Ability to influence stakeholders and advocate for system standards
You’re comfortable operating as a senior IC. You create clarity rather than waiting for it.
Next steps: We are working closely with the leadership team on this hire, giving you direct insight into the product, the system and where it’s heading. That means proper context, honest preparation and no CV disappearing into a black hole.
