About the Role
We’re partnering with a high-growth, customer-centric digital business undergoing a significant period of transformation to find an experienced Head of Machine Learning & AI. This is a senior leadership opportunity focused on production-grade machine learning systems that directly shape customer experience and commercial performance across one of the UK’s leading consumer platforms. You’ll lead a team responsible for recommendation, ranking, search and personalisation systems embedded across customer journeys, while also shaping the next generation of AI-driven product experiences using LLMs and generative AI. Working as part of the wider PDT leadership team, you’ll influence roadmap prioritisation, guide investment decisions and act as the senior authority for Machine Learning & AI capability across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining the ML & AI vision and strategy across the Cards business
- Leading production ML systems across recommendations, ranking, search and personalisation
- Driving measurable commercial outcomes including conversion, engagement and AOV
- Shaping customer-facing AI capabilities including LLM-powered and generative experiences
- Setting technical direction across modelling, evaluation and ML lifecycle management
- Partnering closely with Product, Engineering and MLOps teams
- Improving scalability, observability and speed-to-production across ML systems
