We’re supporting a major organisation through an exciting M&A-driven transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale cloud migration. You’ll play a pivotal role in moving a portfolio of applications from legacy/on-prem servers to AWS, coordinating delivery across multiple stakeholders, vendors and technical teams. This is a highly visible position where you’ll help shape how the business integrates, modernises and scales post-acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of an application migration programme from legacy infrastructure to AWS
  • Build and manage project plans, milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies and RAID logs
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, architecture, security, operations, business stakeholders, third parties)
  • Drive governance, reporting and stakeholder communication at programme and exec level
  • Ensure migration readiness: discovery, assessment, cutover planning, testing and go-live coordination
  • Manage integration requirements and timelines within an M&A environment, balancing speed with control
  • Oversee vendor performance and ensure deliverables meet agreed quality, security and compliance standards
  • Support change management activities to ensure smooth adoption and operational transition

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering cloud migration programmes (ideally to AWS)
  • Strong track record migrating multiple applications from legacy/on-prem environments to cloud platforms
  • Experience working within complex transformation programmes, ideally within M&A or post-merger integration
  • Solid understanding of cloud migration approaches (rehost, replatform, refactor) and migration lifecycle
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong governance, reporting and planning capability; confident managing multiple workstreams
  • Familiarity with security, compliance and operational considerations in cloud environments
  • Project management certification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile/SAFe) beneficial but not essential

If you’re an experienced Project Manager with a strong cloud migration background and thrive in fast-paced M&A environments, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now or contact MRJ Recruitment for a confidential conversation.
