Product Manager FinTech | AI-Driven | Zero-to-One | Manchester | Up to ÂŁ65k
Let’s not dress this up. Most Product Manager roles in fintech involve “optimising flows”, “refining journeys”, and “incrementally improving conversion”. Important? Sure. Exciting? Not really. This one is different. This is zero to one. This is AI at the core, not sprinkled on top.
We’re working with a fintech scale-up building the next generation of intelligent financial products, automated decisioning, predictive insights, real-time data layers, and genuinely smart user experiences powered by applied AI. They’re looking for a Product Manager who isn’t scared of the unknown. Someone who gets a blank sheet and sees potential, not panic. Someone who loves questions more than answers… at least at first.
You’ll be:
- Leading 0→1 development across AI-first products
- Turning ML capabilities (Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch) into real customer value
- Working closely with engineering teams using TypeScript, Node.js, React, and Next.js
- Partnering with data teams working across AWS, Kafka, Spark, and modern data pipelines
- Shaping products built on secure, scalable fintech architecture (Event-driven, microservices, serverless)
- Running discovery experiments and validating concepts at speed
You’ll thrive if you:
- Have shipped 0→1 products, not just maintained existing ones
- Understand how AI/ML actually works in product (beyond buzzwords)
- Are comfortable in high ambiguity and low ego teams
- Can move fast without breaking the trust of regulated environments
- Bring curiosity, rigour, and a bit of healthy disruption
If you want a PM role where the answer already exists in a backlog this may not be the role for you. However, if you want to build the thing everyone else will copy two years from now, let’s talk. Manchester. Remote. AI-first fintech. Zero-to-one builders only.

How to prepare for a job interview at MRJ Recruitment
✨Understand the Zero-to-One Mindset

Be ready to discuss how you approach ambiguity and your thought process in those situations.
✨Showcase Your AI/ML Knowledge
Since this position revolves around AI-driven products, brush up on your understanding of machine learning concepts and how they can be applied in product management. Highlight any experiences where you’ve had to balance technical constraints with product vision, and how you ensured everyone was aligned towards a common goal.
✨Prepare for Discovery Experiments
Since running discovery experiments is a key part of this role, think about how you’ve validated concepts quickly in the past. Be ready to discuss your approach to experimentation, including how you gather feedback and iterate on ideas. This will demonstrate your ability to move fast while maintaining quality and trust in a regulated environment.
