Frontend Developer | Manchester (Office-based / Onsite) | Up to £55,000
We're working with a growing, technology-led business looking to bring a Frontend Developer into its expanding engineering team.
This is an opportunity to join a newly formed, cross-functional team where you'll have the chance to influence technical decisions, contribute to best practices and help shape the way the team works as it continues to grow.
Key responsibilities
- Develop new features and enhancements for existing web applications.
- Build and maintain modern, responsive frontend experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable code supported by unit tests.
- Apply TDD, BDD and end-to-end testing practices where appropriate.
- Investigate technical challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Work closely with developers, product owners, business analysts and wider stakeholders.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve systems, tools and ways of working.
- Share knowledge and contribute to a positive engineering culture.
Skills and experience
- At least 2 years' experience in Frontend Development.
- Strong experience with modern React development, including Hooks, Context and React Query.
- Experience integrating with third-party REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Good knowledge of Git and version control.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD and continuous deployment.
- A strong appreciation for testing, code quality and TDD.
- Good communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills.
This is a fully onsite position based in Manchester, so you'll need to be comfortable working from the office.
