MRI Software is seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team, focused on driving demand generation excellence in the public sector: Social Housing and Local Government Technology Software. The role reports to the Senior Director, Demand Generation and is pivotal in translating strategic vision into operational execution, leading teams to deliver measurable pipeline growth through integrated campaigns, events, and digital programs. We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the London or Sleaford office.

The Senior Marketing Manager, Demand Generation is responsible for the operational execution of integrated demand programs that create awareness, engagement, and conversion across the funnel – spanning net new acquisition, cross-sell, and client expansion. You will lead a team delivering day-to-day campaigns, optimise lead flow and conversion, and partner closely with Sales, SDRs, Product Marketing, and Marketing Ops to build pipeline against targets. You’ll excel at people management, process discipline, and campaign orchestration, translating the Senior Director’s strategy into calendarised, measurable programs. You’ll keep the engine running – ensuring SLAs are met, data is clean, reporting is timely, and budgets are utilised effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Demand Generation: Daily oversight and execution of high-quality integrated campaigns (email, paid, social, content syndication, events, webinars, ABM) aligned to pipeline and bookings goals.
  • Manage end-to-end lead flow across SDRs and sales teams.
  • Build and maintain nurture programs and cadences tailored to buyer journeys.
  • Collaborate with SDR leadership to refine qualification guidelines, talk tracks, email/LinkedIn cadences, and ensure SLA adherence and feedback loops.
  • Oversee and support the coordination of regional events and sector conferences, ensuring pre/during/post activation plans and measurable ROI (meetings booked, pipeline created, influenced revenue).
  • Align with wider marketing team members including digital, inbound, product marketing and content teams.
  • Proof-read and add value to content – ensuring value propositions are communicated and recognise and steer the need for industry-specific assets (guides, ebooks, case studies, thought leadership, webinar content).
  • Drive client engagement strategies, strengthening satisfaction and expansion pipeline.
  • Join regular Go-to-market meetings with cross-departmental collaboration, supporting campaign managers where needed.
  • Join regular SLT meetings when required to deliver high level performance updates.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of demand generation managers; set clear objectives, run weekly 1:1s, and drive performance through enablement and feedback.
  • Develop consistency of tracking and reporting across campaign managers, in line with guidance from senior marketing director.
  • Foster a high‑accountability, test‑and‑learn culture and scale winning plays across the teams.

Planning, Process & Reporting

  • Translate annual demand strategy into quarterly/monthly campaign calendars, budgets, and resourcing plans; tracking utilisation and ROI.
  • Maintain process documentation for campaign build, follow-up and tracking.
  • Review weekly BI dashboards and monthly reviews covering segment performance, funnel health and campaign impact, presenting insights and actions to leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5–8 years in B2B demand generation, including team leadership (2+ years managing marketers).
  • Proven experience executing multi‑channel campaigns that generate qualified pipeline for complex, multi‑stakeholder sales motions.
  • Familiarity with B2B technology highly advantageous, marketing to public sector.
  • High proficiency with marketing automation tools such as Pardot, CRM (Salesforce), and analytics; strong Excel/PowerPoint skills.
  • Data‑savvy: able to analyse, attribute, and optimise based on funnel metrics; comfortable presenting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; confident presenting to senior stakeholders.

Benefits & Culture

  • Office breakfasts, quarterly lunches and virtual social events; employee-led groups such as DEI committee, Women and Allies, and Pride Event Group.
  • Private Medical Insurance and Health Cash Plan.
  • Competitive Personal Pension plan and retirement preparation.
  • MRI Software Parental Leave to support time with new arrivals.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays, plus 15 hours of Flex Time Off.
