We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial New Business Account Executive to join our Sales team, focused on the Social Housing sector. This is an opportunity to sell a broad portfolio of software solutions to housing associations and local authorities. We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role would be based in our London or Sleaford Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent MRI professionally and build strong relationships with senior decision-makers.
- Achieve quarterly and annual new business sales targets.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline to support revenue goals.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across local authorities and housing associations.
- Recommend appropriate solutions and negotiate commercial terms.
- Respond to tenders, RFIs, RFPs and ITTs.
- Work closely with Sales Engineering to produce proposals and quotations.
- Manage opportunities end-to-end, from initial enquiry through to close.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasts and sales activity in Salesforce.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Legal, Sales Operations, Marketing, Development and Implementation teams.
Requirements
- Proven success in a target-driven, new business sales environment.
- Experience selling software solutions.
- Strong “hunter” mindset with the ability to qualify opportunities.
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging at C-suite level.
- Organised, self-sufficient and able to manage complex, long sales cycles.
- Team-oriented, with a proactive and independent working style.
- Knowledge of the Social Housing or Public Sector is desirable but not essential.
