Sr Cloud Operations Engineer / on-site
Las Colinas, TX
MFGTechnology is looking for a Sr Cloud Operations engineer to join our team as we grow our business and satisfy our customers. With extensive experience in software and hardware, our innovative solutions maximize the efficiency of aircraft and their crew. As part of a team, this US-based position is an essential element in the Americas strategy as we anticipate and execute the growth objectives within our region.
In this position, if you happen to have an AWS Professional Certificate, that’s a big plus!
Responsibilities
- Creates, defines, analyzes, and maintains overall System requirements of the Infrastructure between the AVIO software and the customer’s systems. Able to meet changing deadlines, anticipate issues and engineer solutions that meet requirements. Review and maintain documentation and processes coupled and related towards the deployment process to ensure correct and efficient upgrades of customer related information systems. Responsible for working closely with other teams to analyze Infrastructural and technical requirements and execute defined tasks.
- Available to support and troubleshoot overall system installations and upgrades. Contributes to the support of the AVIO software development teams by providing documentation and expertise when required.
- Must be able to evaluate internal and external documentation in order to gather knowledge and build upon the functionalities of AVIO software and related integration elements.
- Experience with containers and container orchestration systems like Docker and Kubernetes, infrastructural cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, operational automated roll-out processes like Ansible, Terraform, open source operating systems like Debian, Oracle Linux, and with the following concepts/skills: DevOps, CI/CD (Argo), GitOps, MySQL, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, VPN, Security and with service meshes (Linkerd) is considered a plus.
- Available for third line support outside of office hours for mission critical incidents on a non-frequent basis. The Systems Engineer can be customer facing (mainly internal & to a lesser degree external), and he/she must be able to keep communication lines open and clear.
- External customers are airlines and their internal teams as well as external entities include data suppliers such as Flight Planning Providers, Weather providers, etc. Internal customers include the Product Development Team, Integration Team and the Support Team. You will be part of the Operations team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in field with minimum 5+ years’ experience or Master’s degree in field with 3+ years experience.
- Passionate about software, server technology & cloud solutions.
- Analytical with a problem-solving mindset.

- Active contributor in a fun, motivated & growing team.
- Excellent in English, speaking and writing.
