At MRE, you’d be joining a 32+ year consultancy delivering well-rounded IT/ETRM solutions across major client environments.

We are seeking developers with strong Python and/or C# experience, along with a background in CTRM systems (Beacon experience preferred), to join multiple roles supporting a major enterprise client in the UK.
These positions offer the opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives within a dynamic trading environment.
While Beacon experience is a plus, it is not a strict requirement.
For candidates with relevant technical and CTRM foundations, our client is prepared to invest in approximately six months of structured training and hands‑on exposure.
This makes the role an excellent opportunity to expand your skillset and gain experience on a leading CTRM platform.

What you will be doing
- Define and document standard run books and operating procedures. Create and maintain physical architecture, access control in accordance with Digital Security mandates.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the production systems, using standard tooling (Elastic Search, Azure Dev Ops) and custom Beacon tools (Bob, WMP, Glint apps).
- Define and implement operational playbooks to ensure smooth and safe running of the platforms, whilst keeping estate compliant with client’s Digital Security standards.
- Implement monitoring and automated solutions to improve the reliability of the platform.
What we are looking for
- 2+ years of hands‑on experience in supporting an ETRM system, cloud infrastructure and Beacon domain.
- 5+ years of hands‑on experience in writing code (ideally python or C#), using standard SDLC tools and processes.
- Experience working with Business stakeholders to provide accurate position and risk reporting.
- Experience working with platform providers (internal and external) and service consumers such as developers and BAs.
- Experience working with a hybrid team of delivery resources (internal & external); utilising scrum methodology where relevant.
- Experience working with front office developers (strats).
- Design monitoring solutions to identify and rectify production issues.
- Basic understanding of physical commodity trading, covering front and middle office processes.
Ideal candidates will be based in the UK or India. However, we are open to candidates in other locations, provided they are able to align with UK business hours.
