MRD Recruitment are working on behalf of our client to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their established manufacturing operation in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a skilled engineering team, providing planned and reactive maintenance support across production plant, equipment and facilities.
The Role
Working as part of a cross-functional engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability and efficiency of production equipment. Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Responding quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns.
- Diagnosing faults and taking corrective action.
- Supporting Shift Engineers with day-to-day engineering requirements.
- Ensuring all work meets required Health Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene standards.
- Using CMMS systems/tablets to accurately record maintenance activity and manage stock.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and improved equipment reliability.
