MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK
We are looking to recruit a Research Support Officer to join a multi‑centre collaborative project, SynHG, funded by the Wellcome Trust. The work will be located at LMB and supervised by Dr. Julian Sale with Dr. Jason Chin at the University of Oxford. You will work on developing and applying foundational methods for the synthesis of large genomes, specifically the human genome.
You should have a Masters in a relevant biological or physical science and relevant experience in a laboratory‑based role.
The LMB has a collaborative working culture and state‑of‑the‑art building based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. We have on‑site parking, cycle enclosures and excellent public transport links to the site. We have a staff restaurant with roof terrace and access to a Campus nursery and sports and social facilities.
You will be eligible to join our defined benefit pension scheme, a holiday entitlement of 40.5 days (including bank holidays and privilege days) and a generous employee discount scheme.
