The predicted salary is between 51429 - 62783 € per year.

Salary: 51,429 - 62,783 per annum, inclusive of London allowance, plus an additional allowance of up to 5,000 will be considered for exceptional candidates.

About us: The MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) is a biomedical research institute where scientists and clinicians collaborate to advance the understanding of biology and its application to medicine. LMS is one of three directly funded MRC research institutes and enjoys close links with our partners at Imperial College London and the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

About the role: It is an exciting time to join LMS as we have recently moved into a new state‑of‑the‑art building. We are looking for a skilled professional to ensure its smooth operation. As a key member of our Estates team, you will provide electrical and/or mechanical reactive maintenance (RM) on all plant systems and services, undertake works on behalf of the Estates team, supervise external service providers and contractors, and liaise with end users to plan repair works or project works as required.

About you: The ideal candidate will have experience in a complex building with responsibility for electrical and/or mechanical systems, communication skills for planning works while considering health & safety requirements and building user needs, experience supervising external contractors, and completion of a recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications.
