About us
The MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences (LMS) is a biomedical research institute where scientists and clinicians collaborate to advance the understanding of biology and its application to medicine. LMS is one of three directly funded MRC research institutes and enjoys close links with our partners at Imperial College London and at the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
About the role
The role delivers high-quality administrative support across the employee lifecycle, from setting up and coordinating visiting researchers to managing the end-to-end recruitment process, onboarding and induction of new starters, ensuring employees have everything they require to be able to commence their work at LMS. This role will promote fair recruitment processes and ensure immigration and Right to Work queries are promptly resolved, as well as ensuring employee records are created and carefully maintained.
About You
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a small team in a varied and challenging role that will give you responsibility for providing day-to-day support across all areas of People activities, acquiring on-the-job experience within the People and Culture team. The successful applicant will have previous administration and customer service experience with strong attention to detail. You should have the ability to prioritise and manage a high volume of work in order to meet deadlines and have a flexible and positive attitude to work. Support and training will be provided.
