An elite international law firm is seeking a Conflicts & AML Analyst to join its high‑performing London team. This is a key role within a global function supporting new business intake, conflicts clearance, and AML compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Sitting within a collaborative, well‑resourced team, the position offers exposure to senior stakeholders, complex cross‑border matters, and evolving client risk profiles. The Role
Working as part of the firm’s global Conflicts & New Business Department, you will support both conflict checks and anti‑money laundering reviews for new and existing clients. The role combines analytical research, judgement‑based risk assessment, and regular interaction with Partners and senior stakeholders. You’ll contribute directly to onboarding decisions, AML risk analysis, and conflict issue identification, ensuring matters are opened efficiently and compliantly across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform initial reviews of conflicts search requests and gather clear and relevant information
- Conduct corporate research and prepare accurate search terms for conflict checking
- Review search results to identify and escalate potential conflict or business issues
- Research, identify, and verify new clients using external databases and online tools
- Conduct AML risk analysis and prepare structured AML risk assessments and packs
- Support ongoing client monitoring and maintain up‑to‑date due diligence records
- Conduct adverse media and sanctions screenings
About You
- Strong experience working within a US or international law firm environment
- Proven background in AML and client due diligence processes
- Experience handling conflicts of interest and using systems such as Intapp Open
- Familiarity with screening tools (e.g., S&P Cap IQ, Orbis, WorldCheck) and conflicts search conventions
- Excellent analytical skills with sound judgement and discretion handling confidential matters
- Confident engaging with Partners and senior stakeholders
- Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Collaborative, commercially minded, and comfortable working across functions
