Risk Analyst | Elite US Law Firm | London
I\’m partnering with an elite US law firm to recruit a Risk Analyst to join their highly respected London Risk team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with conflicts, CDD, and broader regulatory risk experience to step into a role with genuine global exposure.
This team sits at the heart of the firm’s risk function, working closely with senior management, partners, and colleagues across London and New York. The role offers an excellent platform for someone looking to deepen their expertise in conflicts, AML, sanctions, and wider regulatory issues in a top-tier international environment.
The role will involve:
- First-level analysis of conflict check requests across new business, lateral hires and trade reports
- Conducting client and matter on-boarding checks, including conflicts, CDD, sanctions and reputational risk
- Reviewing, gathering and maintaining client due diligence documentation
- Identifying risk issues and recommending appropriate steps, including information barriers or insider lists
- Monitoring regulatory developments (SRA, AML, sanctions) and supporting updates to policies and internal processes
- Supporting and delivering training and risk communications
- Responding to day-to-day risk and regulatory queries from partners and staff
- Maintaining risk registers, breach logs, records of processing activities and internal know-how
- Liaising directly with regulators where required
- Participating in wider projects as new regulations or areas of focus emerge
What they\’re looking for:
- 2–3 years’ experience in conflicts and CDD within an international law firm
- Strong understanding of AML, sanctions, conflicts rules and professional conduct obligations
- Solid analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly and commercially with stakeholders at all levels
- Good understanding of corporate structures (companies, partnerships, trusts)
- Familiarity with IntApp or other conflicts tools is helpful but not essential
- Ability to manage a varied workload and operate calmly under pressure
