Junior Legal Counsel - Commercial HYBRID

Commercial Lawyer – In-House (Global Risk Team) – London We are working with a leading international law firm seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join its in-house global Risk team . This is an exciting opportunity to work across a spectrum of legal, business, ethical, and strategic issues, drafting and negotiating complex client-facing agreements and advising partners on commercial risk matters. Ensure client contracts comply with applicable ethical standards and internal firm policies. Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and business risks while supporting the firm’s commercial objectives. Collaborate directly with partners, counsel, and key business teams including Finance, Business Development, Information Security, and DE&I. Create and manage templates, playbooks, processes, and external communications to streamline contract management and compliance. Assist with drafting firm responses to client compliance and risk audits. Contribute to increasing the efficiency and scalability of the Risk team’s commercial legal support. Supervise and collaborate with administrative and support staff within the Risk team. England & Wales qualified solicitor with at least 4 years’ experience gained at a top-tier law firm , either in private practice or an in-house law firm role. Strong experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts. Commercially astute, with strong judgement and the ability to make pragmatic, risk-based decisions in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, enthusiastic, and resourceful attitude with excellent project management and organisational skills. A high-profile, strategic role within a globally respected Risk team.
