A leading international law firm is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its Risk Management function in London. This is a high-impact role supporting the General Counsel team, with a focus on managing supplier contracts across a global, technology-driven environment. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in shaping contract governance and procurement processes.

The Role:

  • You will take ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle of supplier contracts across the UK business, with particular focus on technology, SaaS, and outsourcing arrangements.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser, you’ll partner with legal, procurement, information security, and business teams to negotiate robust agreements aligned to the firm’s risk appetite.
  • This role offers broad exposure across a global matrix organisation, combining hands-on negotiation work with systems oversight and process improvement responsibilities.
  • Success will be measured by your ability to balance risk, commerciality, and operational efficiency, while building strong internal relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and negotiate a wide range of supplier agreements, including SaaS, IT, and outsourcing contracts.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to define requirements and manage contract timelines.
  • Collaborate with Information Security and Data Privacy teams on contractual protections.
  • Advise on contractual risk, terms, and best practice across procurement processes.
  • Support and enhance the contract management system and procurement workflows.
  • Coordinate global contract frameworks across jurisdictions.
  • Deliver training and promote effective use of procurement systems.

About You:

  • Law degree (UK or commonwealth equivalent).
  • Strong experience in contract management and commercial procurement, ideally in a global organisation.
  • Proven track record negotiating technology and vendor agreements.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory frameworks (including GDPR and data protection).
  • Experience working with contract management systems and procurement tools.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior level.
  • Commercially minded with a clear understanding of risk and operational priorities.
