Economic Research Analyst – Antitrust & International Competition

Are you passionate about economic research and competition law? A leading global law firm is seeking an Economic Research Analyst to join its Antitrust & International Competition team in London.

What you’ll do:

• Support merger arbitrage research and time-sensitive client mandates.
• Conduct market sizing, share estimates, and outreach for international merger and FDI filings.
• Monitor merger control and FDI reviews, track regulatory trends, and analyse precedent decisions.
• Prepare market share estimates and contribute to business development with data-driven insights.
• Produce clear, concise reports and presentations for clients and internal stakeholders.

What we’re looking for:

• Degree/background in finance, economics, or consultancy.
• Strong research skills and familiarity with M&A activity.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Ideally, knowledge of competition law theories and company financials.
