About MRA Search
We are an international legal search firm, with offices in Dubai, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Melbourne, Munich, New York, Singapore and Sydney. With decades of experience in the legal industry, we act as trusted advisers to some of the world’s leading law firms and companies. Our consultants focus on successfully placing lawyers and legal professionals into the top law firms and in-house roles.
About the role
This is a role that will broadly cover two main areas of responsibility:
- Database Manager
Our database is a crucial tool for all of our consultants, globally. It is a critically important resource, so much so that it is one of the ways in which we differentiate ourselves from our competitors. In order to ensure it is as effective as possible, it needs to be continually maintained and updated. This aspect of the role will essentially involve:
- researching individual lawyers, and ensuring that their profiles on our database have the correct codes and attributes
- adding and populating new candidate profiles onto the database, particularly of newly qualified lawyers
- Candidate Resourcer
Alongside the database management responsibilities, we would also like the successful candidate to undertake research and resourcing activities to support our consultants. The core elements of this part of the position are to:
- carry out database searches (and searches on other external resources) to identify potentially suitable candidates for positions we are working on
- cold call those potential candidates to ascertain their level of interest in exploring specific market opportunities, with a view to arranging follow-up conversations and/or meetings with a consultant
This position would suit a graduate who is interested in gaining a thorough understanding of the legal market in the City, and what a career in legal search would involve. Our client base comprises the highest calibre US and UK law firms operating in the City, together with a range of corporates and financial institutions. You will work alongside and in support of a team of experienced consultants.
About you:
You will need to be organised, have good attention to detail, and not be afraid of the phone! You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be confident operating in a fast-paced office environment. You will be able to maintain a ferocious work ethic and exhibit tenacity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. You should enjoy building relationships and be passionate about working in a team-based, professional, and high-performance culture that rewards, recognises and celebrates success.
What we offer:
- Salary: £35-40k + individual and uncapped commission incentives + team incentives + potential progression prospects
- Location: London
- Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays + office closure over the Christmas period.
- Hours: Full-time, though part-time is considered. Hybrid with one day WFH.
