Staff Power Group is delighted to be working alongside a respected and long-established law firm based in Malton, currently looking to appoint a Legal Assistant to join their dynamic Commercial Property department. This is a brilliant chance to develop your legal career in a supportive, professional setting.
About The Role
You will play a vital part in supporting the commercial property team by providing high-quality secretarial and administrative assistance. This is a busy and varied role suited to someone organized, client-focused, and proactive.
Main Duties Will Include
- Typing legal documents and correspondence from audio or draft with accuracy and speed
- Maintaining and managing client files: opening, updating, archiving
- Organizing outgoing post and handling general administrative duties
- Coordinating appointments, meetings, and maintaining Legal Adviser diaries
- Delivering excellent client service both face-to-face and over the phone
- Creating and updating case files using the Proclaim case management system
- Assisting with document formatting, including tracked changes and lease documentation
- Supporting billing processes, including preparing invoices and completion statements
- Carrying out searches via Companies House, Land Registry, and SDLT platforms
What We’re Looking For
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Comfortable using case management software (Proclaim experience is advantageous)
- Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to tasks
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- A personable and professional manner when dealing with clients
- Experience in commercial property law is beneficial, though not essential
