Engineering Manager – Near Market Weighton

Salary: £55,000
Hours: Mon‑Fri 07:15‑16:45 (flexible)

Staff Power Group is recruiting on behalf of our client for a hands‑on Engineering Manager to lead a team of 4 engineers. The role is 60 % electrical / 40 % mechanical, with 60–70 % time on the factory floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a small engineering team
• Hands‑on work with mechanical and electrical systems
• Manage stores, raise POs, liaise with suppliers
• Oversee plant maintenance, preventative systems, and H&S compliance
• Support food safety (HACCP, GMP) and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Relevant mechanical or electrical engineering qualification
• Practical electrical & mechanical expertise (16th/17th Edition)
• Previous team management experience
• Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills
