The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.

Delivery and collection of plant machinery, powered access hire equipment, lifting equipment, to customers in a safe, professional, and timely manner. You will be working in a safety critical role and be responsible for delivering to a schedule and working to timescales. You will be required to maintain good care of your vehicle, ensure all loads are secured, perform daily safety checks, and keep transport documents and the PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) updated.

  • Operating commercial vehicles up to 3.5T
  • Driving long and short distances.
  • Planning delivery schedules and routes with transport team.
  • Making sure loads are safely secured in line with the Safe system of work.
  • Completing delivery paperwork and/or PDA updates
  • Deliver the customer’s order in a timely and safe manner with respect for the customer’s property.
  • Handle any issues raised at the point of delivery calmly, effectively, and professionally.
  • Always conduct yourself in a professional manner.
  • Ensure the vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the highway code and driver hours limits.
  • Ensure the vehicle is not subject to unnecessary damage.
  • Carry out daily checks and report any defects to the responsible person in the correct manner.
  • Continually monitor vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and complete defect reports where required.
  • Ensure accidents and incidents are kept to a minimum and are reported in accordance with the company’s procedures.
  • Report any changes to your driving license including endorsements or disqualifications.
  • PPE guidance always followed.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Hold a Full UK Driving license.
  • Full induction will be provided upon the start of employment.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
