The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.
Delivering and collection of plant machinery, powered access hire equipment, lifting equipment, to customers using a Heavy Goods Vehicle in a safe, professional, and timely manner. You will be working in a safety critical role and be responsible for delivering to a schedule and working to timescales. You will be required to maintain good care of your vehicle, ensure all loads are secured, perform daily safety checks, and keep transport documents and PDA updated along with working in accordance with tachograph and Working Time directive.
Undertake the safe loading of the vehicle and ensure the load is distributed and secured correctly (Construction Plant, Tool and Access Equipment). Ensure the loaded equipment is correct against the customer’s order and is loaded within the maximum weight allowances of the vehicle. Follow collection/delivery instructions as per the information on the PDA (syrinx system). Undertaking product familiarization for customers. Deliver the customer’s order in a timely and safe manner with respect for the customer’s property. Handle any issues raised at the point of delivery calmly, effectively, and professionally. Always conduct yourself in a professional manner. Ensure the vehicle is kept in a clean and tidy condition. Drive the vehicle safely and in accordance with the highway code, tachograph legislation and driver hours limits. Ensure the vehicle is not subject to unnecessary damage. Report damage and losses of equipment. Carry out daily checks and report any defects to the responsible person in the correct manner. Continually monitor vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and complete defect reports where required. Ensure accidents and incidents are kept to a minimum and are reported in accordance with the company’s procedures. Report any changes to your driving license including endorsements or disqualifications. To follow the company rules and directives as set out in the Employee Handbooks PPE guidance always followed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold a Full UK Driving license.
- Hold the correct category entitlement (Category C/CE).
- Hold Current Valid Driver CPC.
- Hold a current valid Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
- IPAF – Categories 3a/3b/1b Preferred.
- IPAF Load & Unload Preferred.
- IPAF Demonstrator Preferred.
- IPAF Harness awareness Preferred.
- Full MPH induction will be given.
