As FP&A Manager at Fothergillâs Seeds you will be critical in driving operational, financial and strategic decision-making across the business by providing actionable insights, financial analysis and robust support. As part of our Finance team and a member of the senior management team, you will be comfortable operating at all levels of business and be instrumental in designing and improving how financial information and insights are delivered.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the budgeting, monthly 12 month rolling forecast, and long-term strategic planning processes
- Develop and maintain effective relationships across the business aligning financial goals with business strategies and driving profitability
- Provide support across the business analysing financial and operational results to better understand and report on company performance in a timely manner
- Dive deeply into financial data, providing insightful action-oriented analysis that identifies business challenges and propose solutions
- Provide detailed analysis and commentary on Business Unit results
- Identify and research variances to forecast, budget and prior-year proactively identifying opportunities for improvement
- Work on corporate projects and initiatives that impact the entire organisation
- Develop financial models to project long term growth & support effective decision making
We are looking for someone who is a qualified accountant with several yearsâ experience within an FP&A role, demonstrating a successful background in financial planning, analysis and business partnering with Sales, Marketing, Logistics and Manufacturing teams. You will combine excellent analytical skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and be passionate about using data to impact business success. You will also demonstrate:
- A proactive, solution-oriented, and results-driven approach with a high attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Strong analytical skillset with ability to solve complex problems
- A high level of commercial acumen and a strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term planning with day-to-day operational support
- The ability to multitask and adapt to a constantly changing, quick environment
- Excellent communication, presentation and influencing skills
- Experience of operating at a similar level or working directly with board level directors and senior management teams
- Capability to lead projects throughout an organisation
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with proficiency in tools like Excel and Sage X3
- Experience of Phocas would be advantageous.
