As our new Search & Merchandising Executive you will sit at the heart of our ecommerce trading operation, blending analytical thinking with creative merchandising flair. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our customers can easily find what they are looking for, that every category tells a compelling product story and that our online presentation drives conversion and reflects our Brands values.
Core Responsibilities:- Search & Merchandising
- Own all aspects of onsite search and merchandising across the three brands, maintaining best practices in search term management, synonyms, redirects, and fallback rules.
- Conduct regular site walks to ensure online product presentation, navigation, and search results are accurate and engaging.
- Work with our Product Manager to continuously refine category structures, product placement, and visual merchandising to optimise conversion and user experience.
- Fully immerse yourself in the new search and merchandising tool, developing best practices and suggesting improvements to workflows and site optimisation.
- Product & Category Management
- Collaborate with Procurement to ensure the right SKUs are live in the right categories at the right time.
- Support new product launches, ensuring timely activation and accurate representation online.
- Maintain and update product data attributes in Excel and Plytix and manage imports and exports to Shopify to ensure seamless data flow.
- Ensure product information, imagery, descriptions, pricing, and metadata are accurate, complete, and optimise for search and conversion.
- Trading & Analytics
- Support the Ecommerce Manager and wider trading team with reporting to identify actionable insights that enhance conversion, engagement, and revenue.
- Coordinate site maintenance and content updates to ensure all marketing campaigns and promotional activity are reflected accurately online.
- Monitor product data accuracy and identify issues that could impact customer experience or online performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Finance, and Customer Services to align commercial and operational plans.
- Act as the key contact for Customer Services regarding product availability and site issues.
- Support D2C Trading Team with onsite changes that enhance campaign performance.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Ecommerce specialist who demonstrates proven experience in taking ownership of the customer online search, merchandising and product data experience. You’ll have strong commercial acumen and also have:
- Experience managing ecommerce search, merchandising, and product data, ideally across multiple brands or complex product ranges.
- An analytical and data-driven approach, with a passion for using insight to improve the customer journey.
- A clear understanding of how product presentation and accurate product data impact conversion and margin.
- Curiosity and confidence in asking questions or challenging processes to drive improvement.
- A highly organised work style, thriving in a fast-paced environment, with confidence in managing multiple priorities.
- Creativity and energy and an enthusiasm for how products and categories are presented online, including how product data is structured and displayed.
