We are looking for someone to join the Talent team and support our seasonal hiring programme.
What you'll be doing
As a Talent Acquisition Intern, you'll support candidates through every stage of their recruitment journey, from the moment they apply online or visit our office through to being ready to start work.
Based in our Whakatu Recruitment Office, you'll be part of a busy team that attracts, screens and selects candidates for a range of seasonal roles across our orchards and packhouse.
This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to recruitment while developing your administration, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Your daily tasks will include
- Managing reception, greeting candidates, assisting them with online applications and copying documentation.
- Using our recruitment system, Greenhouse, to screen applications, maintain accurate records and manage offers.
- Conducting phone and face-to-face interviews to assess candidates' suitability for a variety of roles.
- Working closely with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand recruitment requirements and provide updates.
- Preparing offers and completing pre-employment checks with a strong focus on accuracy.
Who you are
- Previous recruitment, administration or hiring experience will be an advantage.
- A willingness to learn and a high attention to detail.
- Confidence using technology and learning new systems.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, both over the phone and in person.
- The ability to handle confidential information professionally.
