With continued growth in our Data Team, we’re looking for a motivated Data Engineer—graduate to intermediate level—ready to help drive innovation and optimise how data flows through our business.
What you’ll be doing:
- As one of our data engineers, you’ll contribute to the planning, building, and optimising our data pipelines across systems, databases, and our cloud data platform.
- You’ll design scalable, resilient data solutions and play a key role in shaping how data is used across the organisation.
- Your day-to-day work will include:
- Building, monitoring, and maintaining data pipelines across Azure, Snowflake, and a range of SaaS applications.
- Working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Applying strong problem-solving skills and lateral thinking to improve processes and unlock efficiencies.
What you’ll bring:
- Required:
- Practical experience writing code (Python preferred).
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred but equal experience with AWS or GCP considered).
- Practical experience with SQL (Snowflake preferred).
- Ability to pass pre-employment checks.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand and availability to work full-time onsite in Hawke’s Bay.
- Proven ability to automate business processes.
- Proven ability to scale systems.
- Experience with Git.
