Dental Therapist Full Time

We wish to contract a GDC Registered Therapist for a busy 5 surgery dental practice in Heaton, Newcastle upon Tyne.

A minimum of 37.5 hours a week to work in an NHS/Private Dental Practice

To carry out Exams, S&P, Cons, Perio under NHS Direct Access – All treatment within the Therapists Scope of Practice. To refer for RCT, XLA and Lab related work to Dentists at the practice and to also carry out work under prescription from the Dentist.

Private work is split 50/50

You will have the support of a Dental Nurse

The current rate for a Self-Employed Dental Therapist is £30 per hour -we pay by UDA\’s achieved up to £10 net on a sliding scale. – Most Dental Therapists should achieve over 5 UDA\’s per hour e.g. £50 per hour.

Must be already GDC Registered as a Dental Therapist & must already reside in the UK

If no settled worker wants this position then Sponsorship is available for an employed Dental Therapist – they must have an average IELTS score of at least 7 within the last 2 years to meet NHS Regulations. They will be paid LESS than £10 Net per UDA\’ – the difference to cover paid holidays ( 6 Weeks) and paid
