We are currently looking for a Site Manager / Fire Protection Manager to oversee passive fire protection works on a live project based in Shrewsbury. This role would suit someone with a strong background in passive fire protection who is confident managing site delivery, operatives, subcontractors, QA, compliance, and client liaison. You will be responsible for ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and in line with fire safety regulations, project specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Managing passive fire protection works on site from start to completion
- Overseeing fire stopping, fire doors, compartmentation, and associated compliance works
- Supervising site operatives and subcontractors
- Carrying out QA inspections and ensuring works meet required standards
- Managing health & safety and ensuring RAMS are adhered to
- Liaising with the client, site teams, and internal management
- Maintaining progress reports, site photographs, and compliance documentation
- Ensuring works are completed on schedule and to a high standard
Requirements:
- Previous experience managing passive fire protection projects
- Strong understanding of fire stopping, compartmentation, and fire door works
- Background as a Site Manager, Supervisor, Passive Fire Manager, or Fire Protection Manager
- Ability to effectively manage operatives and subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of QA and compliance procedures
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
- CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
- Experience working within live environments
- Passive fire qualifications or additional fire safety training
