An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Product Engineer to join our established team at Tedd Engineering. The Lead Product Engineer will act as the single technical owner across Tedd Engineering’s product portfolio, working closely with customers from initial concept through to delivery, field use, and eventual product lifecycle retirement. The role ensures customer requirements are effectively translated into robust, manufacturable products, while maintaining continuity of ownership and accountability throughout the product lifecycle.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers during new and existing product development
- Work with customers to understand requirements, applications, and constraints
- Guide customers through the development process, ensuring clarity and alignment
- Take ownership of products across the full lifecycle
- Maintain continuity of knowledge and decision-making
- Translate customer requirements into clear inputs for electronics and embedded teams
- Work closely with engineering to ensure solutions are practical and aligned to real-world use
- Support design reviews and challenge where necessary
- Lead point of contact for technical issues and drive corrective actions
- Monitor product performance
- Identify opportunities to improve reliability and usability
- Support ongoing product evolution across the product portfolio
- Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, and product changes
- Ensure traceability between customer needs and delivered solutions
Background and Experience
- Strong background in machine control system design
