We are seeking a Medical Secretary for the Oncology Department in a full-time capacity. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, confidential, and efficient secretarial services to the Oncology department including Consultant Oncologists, their junior staff, and the Oncology Team.
Main Duties of the Job
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with a wide variety of personnel at all levels, both internally and externally. The ideal candidate will be able to manage the day-to-day running of the office, prioritise workload, and work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs Grade C and above
- RSA Level 3 or Equivalent
- Experience working with Microsoft packages
- Dealing with patients face-to-face and via telephone
- Secretarial experience
- Experience of NHS systems
- Medical secretarial experience
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to prioritise workload
- Good keyboard skills with the ability to type quickly and accurately
