On behalf of a well-established and highly respected client in the food manufacturing industry, we’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Lab Technician to join their dedicated Quality Assurance team at their site in Beaminster, Dorset. The Role:
As a Quality Lab Technician, you’ll be responsible for ensuring product quality, safety and compliance through routine lab work, testing, and quality checks. Working closely with other departments, you’ll support daily operations and contribute to a strong quality culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sampling and testing raw materials (moisture, density, etc).
- Conducting blend build checks and approving batches.
- Preparing tasting sessions and supporting sample evaluations.
- Managing external lab testing, documentation, and sample submissions.
- Recording results accurately in SAP.
- Support NPD and flavour testing.
- Identifying and escalating quality or compliance issues.
Experience and Skills:
- Background in food manufacturing, quality assurance, or lab testing.
- Knowledge of QMS and ideally IFS or BRC standards.
- Familiar with GMP, food safety legislation, and SAP.
- Detail-focused with strong communication and organisational skills.
